SPECTATOR INFORMATION

We welcome spectators to attend our Big Sandy Shoots and feel we have lots for you to see and experience. It is important to us that your visit to our site is safe as well as fun and exciting. A road map, as well as an aerial map, are posted on this site and encourage all to print them off as getting lost is not something we enjoy hearing about. Our machine gun shooters are not only collectors, but are also into the history. You will see things from the very old (Gatling gun) to the very newest (minigun). They can tell you not only the guns capacities, but in which wars and battles they were used. Fortunately for us, most enjoy talking about them.

Cameras are allowed, but we ask you not to take pictures of our shooters or their guns unless first asked ahead of time. Most enjoy having their guns photographed, but a few of our shooters prefer to be left out of your pictures. You are not allowed to enter their shooters space to take pictures.

If you are not a shooter (attending with guns to shoot) or a vendor, then you will be coming as a spectator. The cost of being a spectator is $25.00. This cost covers your entrance into the shoot site, plus parking, and camping. There is more than enough space to set up motor homes, campers, camp trailers, and tents. Port-a-johns are provided but there are no shower facilities or drinking fountains.

There is a Daily Schedule List and the time of the subgun matches that you are encouraged to watch and a schedule letting you know when the line will be hot. The announcement of special events, such as the firing of a cannon, will be announced in plenty of time for you to make your way to where it will be taking place. Unfortunately, the announcements cannot be heard in the camping and parking area.

MG Shooters provides a gun rental station in which a trained and qualified person is there to assist you. Gun rental prices vary, depending upon the cost of the ammo. We provide a wide variety of machine guns to rent.

Food is available for purchase and all profits this year from food sales will be going to the 4-H Club in Kingman. Food will be on site from Friday breakfast, through Sunday breakfast.
To make your visit more pleasant, here are some items that will make your excursion more comfortable:

  • Hat

  • Suncreen

  • Lawn or camp chair (easy to cary)

  • Flash lights

  • Sun Glasses

  • Ear Plugs

No guns or alcohol are allowed for the safety of all
and we request that all motorcycles and quads be left at home.
