MG
Shooters would like to thank all the participants for a great shoot. Each year we strive
to improve and thanks to your input and ideas the shoots keep getting better and better.
The airplanes did not stand a chance! They were
simply blown out of the air with 27 of them having critical engine hits. By the end of the
shoot the landscape was littered with pieces of airplanes! Everyone made a dent in the 24
new steal targets added this year.
Our raffle was a success with over $663 dollars
being raised for the local school. We appreciate everyone letting the young marines learn
the history of your weapons. The 4h club did exceptional well at this event as they sold a
lot of food for a good cause. The surprise 80th
birthday for Bob Faris was a big hit and bob appreciated everyone who attended. Look for
the article to appear in SAR.
All the matches were a huge success. The Garnad rifle, bolt action and assault rifle
matches were the most attended. Most of the competitions were held in our trench systems.
The Top Gun winner was Scott Cornelius!
We are asking everyone to send in there pictures
so we can post them on our website. Please get them in as soon as possible.
Our next shoot will be held on October 22, 23rd
and 24th, 2010 with an on site gun show being planned for the same weekend. Keep checking
the website for further updates. The sniper class is in the works and we will have further
details in the next couple of weeks.
Thank you for making this a fantastic shoot. We
look forward to seeing you again in October..
