Big Sandy Spring Shooters,
It’s
that time again! With spring rapidly approaching it’s time to start preparing for the
Big Sandy Spring Shoot on March 26th, 27th and 28th, 2010. MG Shooters would like to invite you to join
in the fun. We anticipate great interest and
encourage everyone to submit their application forms early.
Please send in your applications with your friends to try to provide for
optimal line placement. Tell our extended
machine gun family, in the event their name did not get on our mailing list, about the
shoot and have them print an application off our website.
We pride ourselves in our effort to provide everyone with a safe place to
shoot, have fun and visit with their fellow machine gun shooters. We request all applications be submitted by March
3rd so that we have time to set up the firing line and get your line assignment back to
you.
Food will be
provided by the Kingman 4-H group. Concession
hours will be from Friday lunch through Sunday breakfast.
Please pay the 4H club directly at the shoot as MG Shooters will no be
taking monies for the food. All money spent
at their concession stand will go toward their club.
We hope that you will chose to support this worthwhile youth organization by
purchasing your meals and munchies through them.
New to
Matches will be a top gun award. To be
eligible for the top gun award you need to participate in all 5 matches with the best
compiled times being the winner. The 5 matches scheduled for this shoot are.
- Thompson submachine gun (any sub gun)
- Shot gun
- Stock military bolt action (non scoped)
- Assault rifle – Battle rifle – (BAR)
- M1 Garand
Due to
limited cell phone reception at the site, MG Shooters has a phone number that can be used
only during the shoot for anyone wishing to make contact (928-266-6566) and
(928-266-6363). Please utilize this number
from March 22nd through the 29th 2010.
Over the last
4 years the shoot has been able to maintain the same registration fee. This March shoot
will continue this fee. However, we regret that fees will be increased to $225 for future
shoots (next October). This adjustment is necessitated by increased expenses associated
with the shoot (i.e. insurance, reactive targets fees, etc.).
